Rashid to Nitish, waits for the wrong one to reach him, works it away through the on side for one.
Welcome to Bulandshahr Times live coverage of the IPL 2025 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans in Hyderabad. This is Abhishek Saini and Sahil Mathur taking you through all the action.
Rashid to Nitish, waits for the wrong one to reach him, works it away through the on side for one.
Prasidh to continue. Nitish pulls the first delivery, does not time it, allowing midwicket to stop it, just one run.
WICKET! Ishan departs! He goes for a hook on the half-tracker, just does not get the timing right, holes out to deep fine leg.
Ishan Kishan c Ishant b Prasidh 17 (14)
Heinrich Klaasen is the new batter. Off the mark right away with a single off a drive through covers. Nitish runs the fourth delivery down to third man, one run. Klaasen square drives the fifth, the point fielder stops this, no run. A bouncer on the last, Klaasen leaves it for the keeper to collect.
Rashid Khan for the first time.
Ishan clips the second delivery through square leg for one. Nitish drives with soft hands through covers, gets a single. One more single as Ishan cuts to deep cover. Nitish clips off his back foot, gets another run to deep midwicket.
Prasidh Krishna replaces Ishant Sharma.
Ishan defends the first delivery on the off-stump line, manages to sneak in a single by the time mid off picks the ball. Prasidh to Nitish, wide down leg. Hits the length, Nitish punches to cover, no run. Nitish pushes the third to the right of mid on and gets off the mark with a single. Ishan punches to point and the pair completes a run.
Glenn Phillips was the fielder and he seems to have tweaked something in the throw. He is down on the ground and the physio is out to have a check. He’s been taken off the field. Phillips is hobbling on his way back, does not look good.
Nitish on drives the fifth, gets one run to mid on. A wide down the leg to follow, the left-right combination troubling the bowler. Hang on, GT has gone up for a review, Prasidh thinks there is something on that as Ishan tries to pull it. Nothing on the UltraEdge though, the review is gone.
A big mix up, everything happening in this over. Nitish sets off as Ishan plays to third man. The batter is ball watching even as Nitish has reached the striker’s end. A late dash and a wayward throw prevents the wicket.
Siraj to Ishan from around the wicket. The first is on the pads, Ishan nudges wide of mid on for a single. Bangs the second one short, Abhishek takes it on and attempts a pull, misses. Siraj fires the third into the pads, Abhishek is cramped for space, forced to defend it back to the bowler.
WICKET! Abhishek wants to heave this over mid on, the ball comes off the toe end of the bat and picks the fielder. Siraj completes 100 wickets in IPL.
Abhishek Sharma c Tewatia b Siraj 18(16)
Nitish Kumar Reddy in at No. 4.
Ishan facing Ishant.
The first is angling into off and middle stumps, taps this through the off side, no run. The second is banged short, Ishan attempts a pull but misses.
FOUR! Full and wide, Ishan lofts this over the circle, one bounce and over the rope it goes. FOUR again! Ishan waits for the delivery to come to him, it is outside off and the batter just opens the bat face to guide this past short third. Another wide-ish delivery from Ishant, the batter reaches for it and places through point for a single.
FOUR to finish the over, almost caught at mid on. Sai Kishore tries to lunge for the catch but the ball bounces just in front, making it awkward for him to stop, goes through his hands and reaches the fence.
Siraj to Abhishek, no run, drives to extra covers. Siraj comes over the wicket now, bowls into the leg, Abhishek blocks this. The third is dragged slightly back, at the middle stump line, defends. Abhishek drives the fourth, again cannot find a gap. He plays across the line on the fifth, fielded by midwicket. FOUR! Slightly fuller and Abhishek launches this down the ground.
Still a pretty solid over from Siraj.
Ishant Sharma to bowl the second over. Outside off to Abhishek, driven to covers, no run. FOUR! Full and there for the taking, Abhishek drills this past extra covers. FOUR! Hits on th up now, again over covers and the ball lands just short of the boundary cushion. The fourth is driven too but stopped by extra covers. The fifth angles into the pads, Abhishek on drives to mid on for one run. Ishan Kishan gets off the mark with a clip through midwicket for two runs.
Mohammed Siraj to bowl the first over. Abhishek will be on strike.
The first delivery is full on off stump, tails away from Abhishek a fraction, who drives to mid off, picks one run. EDGE! Head gets the second slightly wide, slashes and gets the under-edge past the keeper and all the way to the fence. Into the block hole fires Siraj, Head defends.
FOUR! Wide again, Head chases this and gets it past short third man. Head clips the fifth off his pads, but midwicket stops it.
GONE! A soft dismissal. Head is OUT! This is again on the pads and Head, in looking to flick this, chips it straight into the hands of midwicket.

Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head are welcomed with a loud cheer by the Hyderabad faithful.
If SRH is to break out of its rut, the openers have to lay a foundation for their side, like they did so often last season.

The square boundaries are 70m and 63m respectively, while it’s 76m down the ground. The highest score on this pitch has been 165 in the last three years, it’s on the slower side and it looks dry. It’s a compact wicket, not a high-scoring surface like the other pitches at this venue. The slower deliveries might be effective on this surface.
